PROGRAM PREREQUISITES

CLINICAL TRAUMATOLOGIST

This course was created for mental health care professionals who have a minimum of 4-years with counselling work with regular supervision OR a Master’s degree in progress or completed, in or related to a clinical counselling field

COMMUNITY & WORKPLACE TRAUMATOLOGIST

This program is designed without particular requirements or degrees necessary to access this entry-level post-trauma support, non-counselling training stream.  Designed for professionals, paraprofessionals, and volunteers who work in the trauma field or with survivors.

COMPASSION FATIGUE EDUCATOR – RESILIENCY & RECOVERY (TI-107)

This entry-level program has no required prerequisites to receive the Compassion Fatigue Educator designation aside from successful course completion.

COMPASSION FATIGUE THERAPIST (TI-207)

This course is for mental health care professionals with a minimum of a Master’s degree either completed or in progress, or 4-years of a counselling mandate under supervision.

EARLY INTERVENTION FIELD TRAUMATOLOGIST (TI-1001)

This program is at an entry-level, with no prerequisites necessary to receive Field Trauma designation other than successful course completion. Field Trauma Training will benefit not only first responders (e.g., fire/rescue, law enforcement, emergency medical services, etc.) but also mental health and health care professionals.

JUSTICE SYSTEM TRAUMA CERTIFICATE

This is an entry-level program with no prerequisites required to receive Justice System Trauma Certificate designation aside from successful course completion. Designed to train justice workers in Trauma Informed Care approaches,  statistics indicate that large numbers of those incarcerated for a variety of crimes have a trauma history.  Recognizing this phenomenon and knowing how to work with those in facilities is the focus of this certificate stream.

MOTIVATIONAL INTERVIEWING AFTER TRAUMA (TI-104)

This entry-level program requires no prerequisites to receive Motivational Interviewing after Trauma designation aside from successful course completion.  However, this program would benefit a wide variety of providers including those in counseling/clinical fields, school workers, justice system workers, First responders (e.g., fire/rescue, emergency medical services, law enforcement, etc.) in addition to mental health and health care professionals.

SCHOOL TRAUMA CERTIFICATE

This entry-level program requires no prerequisites to receive School Trauma designation aside from successful course completion. This comprehensive school response program would benefit school teachers, administrators, support staff and management.

TRAUMA HEALING COURSES

The Trauma Healing program is designed for those interested in self-care and post-trauma approaches that they can employ to work-through their trauma history.

TELEMENTAL HEALTH INTRO (TI-601)

In this entry level course you will learn about relevant definitions, legal concerns, HIPAA compliance, conducting care online and delivery options that will aid you in your first steps toward secure online meetings.
